BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - A 70-year-old man has died about three weeks after he was injured in a Bridgeport apartment fire.
Bridgeport Interim Fire Chief Phil Hart tells The Exponent Telegram that 70-year-old Lewis A. Stumpo died Wednesday from injuries he suffered in the April 22 fire.
Stumpo was treated on the scene for life-threatening injuries and then taken to a burn center. His home at Crestview Apartments was damaged in the blaze.
Hart says authorities are not yet sure what caused the fire.
