A Harrison County magistrate has been reinstated after being acquitted of felony charges, according to a media release from the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
Mark Gorby was accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 12, other media outlets reported, but was acquitted of the charges.
On Oct. 10, 2014, Gorby was suspended without pay pending the outcome of the charges against him, the release said. On July 5, Gorby was found not guilty and was acquitted on all counts in the indictment, the release said.
All charges against Gorby have been dismissed, and Gorby will receive all lost back pay from Oct. 10 on, according to the release.
