Deputies are searching for a St. Albans man who allegedly fired at apartments and illegally possessed a firearm.

Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office have obtained warrants for 31-year-old Brandon Scott Schultz on charges of wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and fleeing on foot, according to a news release.

Deputies say they believe Schultz fired at Pine Meadows Apartments on Ferrell Road outside St. Albans at about 10 p.m. Sunday. Callers to Kanawha County Metro 911 had said they heard a man firing a gun toward the apartment buildings.

Deputies also were dispatched to the apartments on Monday. Callers said they saw Schultz with a gun in his hand, according to the release.

Schultz allegedly fled on foot when police arrived. Deputies say they found ammunition in the apartment where he has been staying.
