A 25-year-old Kanawha County woman died in an all-terrain vehicle crash on Sunday evening.

Nicole L. Pullen, of East Bank, was driving the ATV when it crashed into a tree. She was ejected from the ATV in a wooded area near Campbells Creek, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office. A passenger was trapped beneath the overturned ATV until others freed her.

Pullen was traveling with a group of about 30 ATVs in an area with no cell phone service. Some of those with her put her in the utility bed of a side-by-side ATV and took her to a nearby home. They called 911, and deputies responded to the Tad area of Campbells Creek Road. Pullen was pronounced dead there.
