The West Virginia State Police has won the 2015 Best Looking Cruiser Contest, sponsored by the American Association of State Troopers.
Supporters could vote for the State Police by clicking "like" on a photo of the cruiser on the American Association of State Troopers Facebook page. The West Virginia State Police cruiser received more than 17,000 votes.
State Police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous said he appreciated an outpouring of support on social media. He saw the votes as support for the work of the State Police.
"It's a challenging job and it just really makes you feel blessed to work in a state where you know so many people support and appreciate what you do," he said.
A State Police blue-and-gold cruiser won second in the event last year.
