At least one person was killed in a fire in Raleigh County Sunday night, according to a dispatcher.
The call was reported at about 11:30 p.m., a Raleigh County dispatcher said.
Firefighters and medics responded to a home on Akers Lane in the Dunns area, near the Mercer County line.
Responders have found the body of one person and are still searching for another person. One person was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
First responders were still at the scene this morning at about 8 a.m.
The dispatcher said the Ghent Volunteer Fire Department, Beaver Volunteer Fire Department, Coal City Fire Department, several ambulances, the state fire marshal’s office, and the state medical examiner had responded. Ghent Volunteer Fire Department is the lead agency.
Bluestone Valley Volunteer Fire Department also responded, according to a Mercer County dispatcher.
