A Kanawha County bank was robbed this morning, police said.
The robbery at the Poca Valley Bank in Elkview was reported around 9:15 a.m.
Police were looking for a white male, who was wearing a camouflage Under Armour shirt, and may have been wearing black pants, a Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher said.
Mike Newhouse, who was a customer at the bank, said a thin man with a black handgun jumped the counter in the bank and escaped with some cash in a trash bag.
The man walked in and "everyone froze," Newhouse said.
