CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A Fairmont man has received a life sentence for the slayings of four people in Clarksburg.
Under a plea agreement, 28-year-old Sidney Arthur Muller will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years of the sentence.
Muller had pleaded guilty in August to two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree. The Exponent Telegram reports that Harrison County Chief Circuit Judge Thomas A. Bedell accepted the plea agreement and sentenced Muller on Monday.
Muller was charged with fatally shooting 29-year-old Todd Russell Amos, 26-year-old Christopher Hart, 70-year-old Fred Swiger and his son, 47-year-old Freddie Swiger on July 26, 2014.
Police say the slayings of Amos and Hart were drug-related and the Swigers were bystanders who were delivering newspapers.
