HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia State Police have identified a man who was fatally struck by a train in Hedgesville.
Media outlets report 56-year-old Scott Wayne Cammer of Martinsburg was standing on the tracks when he was struck Monday night.
State Police said in a statement that the train's conductor sounded a horn and applied the brakes but the train was unable to stop in time. Cammer was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police say the investigation is continuing.
