A Kanawha County magistrate refused Monday to reduce the bond for a teenager charged with domestic battery.
Dallas King, 18, who was charged as a juvenile with second-degree sexual assault for allegedly forcing a 15-year-old girl to have sex at Capital High School, was charged Dec. 4 with domestic battery.
King was charged as an adult with battery after police say he hit the mother of his child. King was on home confinement, awaiting trial on the assault charge, when the battery charge was filed.
Magistrate Julie Yeager denied a request Monday from King's attorney to reduce the $50,000 bond amount. King is being representing by former assistant Kanawha prosecutor Dan Holstein.
According to the state regional jail's website, the bond on the assault charge, which had included home confinement, was revoked. Juvenile cases are sealed.
