MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A Berkeley County woman has been sentenced to at least one year in prison after pleading guilty to a felony stemming from a fatal hit-and-run accident.

Sarah Ashley Quaglio, 24, was sentenced Monday to one to five years in prison in connection with the death of Chad E. Triesler.

Triesler, 26, was walking home from work on W.Va. 9 on Dec. 6, 2014. His body was found the next day.

Quaglio pleaded guilty in September to one felony count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and entered a no-contest plea to one count of driving under the influence resulting in death.

Quaglio tearfully apologized to the victim's family and friends in court on Monday.
