Suspect accused of abusing young girls
A Summers County man sexually abused a 9-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl who were walking near Barboursville Elementary School in Cabell County on Wednesday, according to police.
The man, Henry Timberlake Duncan, 37, of Jumping Branch, allegedly fondled the 9-year-old "with his hand in the vaginal area of her shorts" and grabbed the buttocks of the 13-year-old girl at about 6 p.m., according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell Magistrate Court.
He also allegedly masturbated in a clothes rack in the juniors department at Macy's in Barboursville on the same day.
When officers ordered him to stop, he allegedly ran across Mall Road to the Lowe's parking lot and was found hiding in a dumpster behind National Tire & Battery. He allegedly resisted arrest, so officers physically restrained him, a complaint stated.
He is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, fleeing, indecent exposure and obstructing an officer.
