MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A Berkeley County woman faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony stemming from a fatal hit-and-run accident.
Multiple media outlets report that 24-year-old Sarah Ashley Quaglio pleaded guilty to failure to stop at the scene of an accident on Monday in Berkeley County Circuit Court. Quaglio also pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence resulting in death.
Prosecutors say a vehicle driven by Quaglio struck Chad Edward Triesler on Dec. 6, 2014, on West Virginia Route 9. Triesler's body was found the next day.
Quaglio is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 30.
