Firefighters who were searching for an elderly couple, both of whom have serious health issues, found them in Lincoln County on Tuesday.
Harrison and Roseann Duty, who are both in their late 70s, were found in their vehicle stuck in a mudhole in the Harts Creek area of Lincoln County, according to First Sgt. A.S. Perdue.
They were alert but were taken to Logan Regional Medical Center to be checked out.
Family members had told police that the couple went missing around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. They were last seen driving a blue 2013 Ford Fiesta near Danville and Madison in Boone County.
Police said Harrison Duty had dementia and other health problems, and that Roseann Duty is unable to walk and has heart issues and limited use of her arms and hands.
