Eight people, including a former Marshall University football player, have been accused of operating a heroin ring in the Huntington area for two years, according to a federal indictment unsealed Wednesday.
The following defendants are identified in the indictment: Mark Steven Bush Jr., Brandon R. Ware, Derrick C. Morris, Charles Deshawn Lockhart, Tiquan R. Lang, Kieyonda Annette-Marie Toler, Dorothy D. Pannell and Jessica Ann Barnett.
Lang is a former safety at Marshall. In April, Lang was arrested on DUI and gun charges. He was dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules in August.
The indictment alleges the group conspired to distribute heroin and oxymorphone from November 2014 to June 2016.
