Emergency officials responded to a truck on the W.Va. Turnpike that caught fire early Tuesday morning in the southbound lanes near mile marker 70.
The truck, which was hauling sugar, caught fire around 1 a.m. when the vehicle's engine ignited, said officials with the State Police Turnpike division.
Troopers said the truck completely burned and was pushed to the side of the road after the fire was extinguished. But after leaving the scene, emergency crews were called back when the truck rekindled.
No one was injured in the fire, troopers said.
