CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - The Harrison County sheriff says a 29-year-old Clarksburg man has died from injuries he received in a beating on Aug. 19.
Sheriff Albert Marano confirmed Dustin Baldwin's death Tuesday. Baldwin was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital after being found on his porch unresponsive. He had sustained extensive brain injuries. He died in hospice care.
Three people have been charged with malicious assault in Baldwin's beating, and Marano told The Exponent Telegram the charges will likely be changed.
The sheriff said an investigation is incomplete.
